A quick analysis of this market during the quarter reveals that on the top 10 routes in terms of non-stop traffic, none of Indian carriers had monopoly, whereas the SIA Group lead on 4 markets in the same with full-monopoly, including, Hyderabad, Cochin, Amritsar and Trivandrum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pune, Madurai and Bhubaneshwar were the only monopoly routes to Singapore for the Indian carriers, Vistara, operating from Pune, Air India Express from Madurai, and IndiGo from Bhubaneshwar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But how did these exclusive routes by both SIA Group Airlines and the Indian carriers performed during the quarter?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here is a quick analysis of these exclusive routes in terms of average passenger load factor (PLF) between April-June 2023:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- The Singapore-Trivandrum route was the top performer in terms of average Passenger Load Factor (PLF), achieving an impressive average PLF of approximately 93.07% during the quarter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Following closely, the Coimbatore-Singapore route achieved an average PLF of 91.25%, while the Visakhapatnam-Singapore route recorded an average PLF of about 86.44%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- The Ahmedabad-Singapore route secured the 4th spot with an average PLF of 85.88%, while the Amritsar-Singapore route also followed closely with an average PLF of approximately 84.40%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- The Cochin-Singapore route took the 6th spot with an average PLF of 80.81%, operated exclusively by Singapore Airlines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Notably, all the above routes except Ahmedabad and Cochin are exclusively operated by Scoot only.<\/p>\n\n\n

Overall, Singapore Airlines Group achieved an average passenger load factor of approximately 86.98% on its exclusive routes to India during the quarter serving over 306,401 passengers on these exclusive routes including Hyderabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is important to note that a significant proportion of this traffic also includes the transit-passengers on the group\u2019s network via Singapore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- The Pune-Singapore route achieved an average PLF of 80.67%, trailed by Madurai-Singapore and Bhubaneshwar-Singapore routes with average PLF at 76.42% and 74.39% respectively during the quarter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Overall, the Indian carriers experienced an average passenger load factor of just over 77.16% on the exclusive routes to Singapore, serving over 37,270 passengers on these routes during the quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
